CAMDEN, BENJAMIN B. Born ca 1790 in Virginia; died in 1873 in Dent County. Married 1st Rachel Biddlecomb (b. 1790 SC – d. after 1860).
Their children : Wyatt (b. 1815 VA, m. Mary Emeline), William Preston (b. 1822, VA, m. Rhoda Collins 8/9/1846), Sarah (b. 10/25/1823, TN, m. Timothy Gordon, 10/3/1850, Benjamin H. (m. Sarah Ann Tubbs, bur Camden Cem.), Mrs William Messer.
Benjamin married a second time in 1856 to Frances 'Fanny' Tubbs (6/18/1834 5/14/1920 at Ellington). Their children were James Kinsey Polk (b. 1858, m. Ellen Miller, 11/4/1880, Fred Otis Peter (b. 1861, m. Nancy Lee Pennington 1885), Sarah Jane Newton (1864 1963), Maryline (6/1867 1952, m. 1886, B. F. Kitchell, m. John Wilson Smith, 1897, Elizabeth J. (b. 5/14/1869 – 11/16/1950, m. John Ellis 1888).
The grave is located near the Will & Effie Hutchings Sellers home, Mr. Camden was her great great grandfather. He was one of the early settlers.
