BROOKS, JOSEPH OLIVER 1853 – Jun. 1, 1917. Son of William Hampton Brooks (b. 1817) & Rachel Catherine Green (b. ca. 1820, married Feb. 14, 1838 in Rutherford Co. NC.). J. O. was the grandson of Aaron Brooks (1794 – Sep. 15, 1854, Lumpkin, Co., GA & Elizabeth, (married in 1816 in Rutherford Co NC, buried at Goodland Cemetery in Iron County). J. O. Brooks married Mary Elizabeth Breakfield on Dec. 24, 1875 in Dent County, by Rev. Roland C. Williams. They had six children. ((see Boss Cemetery listing). Joseph Oliver Brooks' was a brother of Aaron, Mary Ann (m. Thomas Stewart (Stuart), lived Bellview), Benjamin Franklin (m. Nancy Elizabeth Thompson, buried at Goodland Cemetery), Thomas Ransom (m. Polly Ann Sizemore, buried at Quaker, MO), Rhoda, Jesse, Samuel 'Sank' (m. Eveline Stewart (Stuart), Jane (m. Byron Brakefield, buried at Center Post Cemetery on Shoal Creek), George Washington 'Hoppy' (m.1) Mary Jane Hawk, m. 2) Martha Ann Kay; he is buried at Crossville Cemetery), Suzanne, Sarah, John and Nelson. Elizabeth Brooks was a daughter of Robert Brakefield & Annie Alcorn Brakefield, who settled here in 1852.

BROOKS, LAWRENCE No dates. Son of Gentry Brooks & Lucy Messer Brooks.

BROOKS, INFANT No dates. Daughter of Gentry Brooks & Lucy Messer Brooks.

BROOKS, INFANT TWINS No dates. Children of Frank Brooks & Grace Gill Brooks.

BROOKS, BONNIE No dates. Daughter of Irvin Guy Brooks (8/11/1890 - 9/25/1950) and Minnie P. (1/27/1896 - 12/19/1978) who are buried in Boss Cemetery.

Note: I was at Boss Cem. Saturday, and met Bonnie's brother who was there visiting their parents stone and told me how she was buried at the plot where his grandparents are (Joseph O. Brooks is Irvin Guy's father). ~ Submitted by Lora Copeland (searching Brooks and Pryor)

MESSER, INFANT No dates. Child of Gentry Brooks & Rachel Catherine Messer Brooks.

WEIBLE, REGNALD C. Oct. 14, 1911 - Aug. 18, 1912. Son of Edward C. Weible & Victoria Brooks. (Parents buried at Bonne Terre).
