Society meetings are every other month.
The meeting place is the Sheriff's home at the Squirrel Jail in Gallatin.

Membership is $20 per household with the advantages of free lookups [limit 3 per month], and costs are only the expenses of copying, mailing, etc. Those who are not members of our Genealogical Society can have lookups for $5 per lookup plus expenses. Our resource center continues to expand with more and more resources for the researcher. All dues proceeds goes towards those resources. 

Daviess Co. probate records were destroyed in a fire in 1890. Probate records for 1891 to present are filed at the courthouse in Gallatin. Our genealogy society hopes to create an on-line index to these records in a future project.

Death certificates for the period 1910 to 1964 are posted on-line by the Missouri State Archives in cooperation with the Missouri Secretary of State.
