I - Jacob Mock b. ca1775/1785 in Fredericksburg, Germany; d. abt. 1858; 1863; m. Magdalene Barbara Sebolt b. Fredericksburg, Germany
Notes: The German name was Moch. Jacob Mock and his wife, Sebolt left Germany for America in 1816. They were stranded in Norway. There were 600 people on the boat when they started, when they finally arrived in America, there were 33 left. They landed in 1818, two years after they started on this voyage.

Note: Came from Germany (High Germany) when 8 years old. Buried with his wife in cemetery across from Lutheran Church north of Berlin Center, OH Front & center. From 1870 census says "Wurtemburg Retired" ?? From Sargie Germany near the Holland border.
Daughter of Jacob Mock was born while family was stranded in Norway in 1818. She was deaf and dumb and could not talk except motion with her hands. After her parents died, she lived with her brothers and sisters, later with nieces and nephews. She died at Christ [F-utellers] in Springfield, OH
