1 - Rudolph Mauk b. bet 1700-1715; d. 1750; m. Mildred______. Mildred remarried and moved to "Carolina" by 1755. Peter Mock and Philip Long both came on the ship Samuel in 1733. Philip and Rudolph were associates, also Paul Long. Inventory of estate dated 7 Mar 1750 Augusta Co. VA. Mathias Selzer assisted in the Inventory and lived next to Rudolph.

1.3.4 - Will of Andrew Mock. - In the name of God Amen. I Andrew Mock of Bourbon County and state of Kentucky being weak in body but of sound and perfect mind and memory blesed by almighty God for the same do make this my last will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say I will and bequeath to my beloved wife Margaret the sorrel mare and the one third of the land so long as she remains my widow-my son John to have the bay mare my Daughter Betsy to have the young sorrel mare my son Reuben to have a young sorrel horse my Daughters Kaitey, Sally and Rachel each to have a colt out of the mare already named that is to way (?) Kaity is to have a colt from John's mare Sally to have a colt from Betseys mare and Rachel is to have a colt from my wife Margarets mare and they are to be agreed as the ones already willed or the price to be made up in money my son John is to have the big gun and Reuben is to have the little one my children is to be raised and schooled out of the products of the plantation and when they are all of age if they cannot agree to live together on the farm it is to be sold and the proceeds to be equally divided and my widow is to have the one third of the price and my six children is to have the remaining two thirds of the price and my six children is to have the remaining two thirds the farming utensils is to be kept by my family for their own use on the farm the household and kitchen furniture is to be kept by my wife the cattle and sheep is to be sold except eight head of cattle and ten head of sheep. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this thirtieth day of January one thousand eight hundred and eighteen

Quote - "In 1866 Mr. Mock (1.2.6 on chart) commenced running the old "Mock Distillery", which has a capacity of fifty bushels of corn per day, …He has kept up the reputation of the "old Mock whisky", the manufacture of which was established by his grandfather and continued by his father.                    (See picture)

Quote from Milton: "Betty Sanford suggests that Samuel is the son of Matthias Mauk but as yet has not developed proof. Conflicts: the birth dates for Samuel Mauk were obtained from Bonnie Mauk. Betty Sanford showed birth date as 1780? and the FGS from Mrs. J.W. Maltbie shows birth date as 1784. Middle initial for Susannah may be M. rather than A."

Information furnished by Mrs. Don Sandifer, San Antonia, TX, 8 Oct 1970: "All of the brothers of Albert Wm. Mauk came to Texas from Georgia by way of Mississippi. There is a letter to Albert Mauk from GA written in 1876. (Carrolton, GA)

Albert Wm. Mauk taught school in Georgia in 1838: Asa Nichelson has the original Contract in a handbook; the book is a math text made to use to teach math.
Albert Mauk was in the Civil War, enlisted in 1862 at Rusk, Cherokee Co, TX
