01 Dec 1779 - Deed between George & Sophia Mock of Fred. Co.,VA to George Gutehunst of Northhampton Co.,PA, conveyed to George in 1779 by William Evans. Deed Bk #18 pp 358

22 Apr 1784 - Indenture between Geo. Volk, late of Fred. Co.,VA on the one part, & Geo. Mock & Michael Gardner on the 2nd part. George Volk owed money to Christopher Kraiser & this was paid by the buyers. Winesses were Alexander Hite, George Brinker & Benjamin Langley. Deed Bk #20 pp 256

George Mock is given power of Attorney by George Volk for administration of property bought by Frederick Slusher from George Volk. Volk describes George Mock as "my friend", and indicates Slusher didn't follow throughwith the purchase agreement. It also indicates that Peter Miller was living on the land. Witnesses were Alexander Hite and Michael Gardner.

1.2 - Daniel is identified as a son of George & Sophia in "Records of Pastoral Acts at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, known in the 18th century as the Warwick Congregation", which was translated by the Pennsylvania German Society in 1983. The book also provided his birth & baptism information. His sponsors were Christoph Oberlin & Catherina Mullerin.
Daniel appears in his father's Will dated 13 Sep 1803 in Frederick Co., VA
Daniel & Mary's marriage appears in a Shenandoah Co., VA marriage bond. Giving consent was Alexander Hite. This marriage is also reported in Frederick Cko., VA marriage records as having occurred in Shenandoah Co., VA. The Frederick Co. records identify Mary's parents as Alexander & Elisabetha Hite. - not complete
