RF list | List compiled by Roger Fortner and the Christian County Sheriff's Department of most accurate, far as they can tell, terms of county sheriff's. A preliminary list appeared on page 145 of "Christian County Jail Records 1887 - 1894: Baldknobber Jail". We used a later list, but one still earlier than the discovery, from reading the 1934 newspaper, that Mrs. Frank Jones served as sheriff and was paid by the county for about forty days following her husband's accident and before the appointment of Mr. Monger to fill the unexpired term. |
