Looking for any and all CAIN & Fraiser information. William CAIN was born 4 July 1825 in Carolina, married Sarah Frasier (b. abt. 1829 in Illinois) and was in Cape Girardeau in 1825. An early census shows a Sabrina living with them. I have also ran across a Jesse, but cannot link them. Their children were Martha Caroline, Thomas, "Will" Frank E., John W.,Ann, "Fred" George Frederick, Mary L., James M., and Henry Lafayette. They migrated out abt. 1873/1876 to Mulberry, Fannin Co., Texas.

The couple resided in Welch Twp., Cape Girardeau Co., MO in 1880 with their three children: (1) William H. WADDLE b. 1861 m. 1884 Rosa DEVORE; (2) Mary Jane WADDLE b. 17 May 1862 m-1 1881 in Cape G. to Edward LAND, m-2 ca. 1885 ---- MURPHY, m-3 1889 to William CASE; and (3) Congrove J. WADDLE b. 1869.

What became of Jeff and Sarah Catherine WADDLE who do not appear in subsequent census records? Did their son Congrove WADDLE marry and have heirs?

Who were the parents of Sarah Catherine ANDREWS?

Seeking the parents of the WILLIAMS brothers, Abraham B. (Toby), James Franklin, Adam L. and John W,. Census says Abraham was born in TN. He married Rosa Lail in Cape G. County in 1871. Rosa died in 1872 and Abraham married Mary Ann PROFFER. The only child of Abraham and Rosa was Thomas Robert WILLIAMS, my grandfather. Also seeking any info on Rosa's grandmother Louisa WOLFF wife of George LAIL. It is believed Louisa was from a county just north of Cape G. maybe Perry or St. Genevieve.

I belive James married again I have been told that ther was a Eddie, and Willie WRIGHT his sons and Ethel and Lizzie BurleyWright that was his daughter`s. James may have lived in White Co and Gallitian Co Illinois also Mississippi Co Arkansas. James was also kin to Thomas Link WRIGHT in Norris City Illinois

James later married Nellie Lee Van Winkle They had a son Walter Samuel WRIGHT born January 14, 1905 in Manila Arkansas Nellie was my grandmather she died in 1907 in Arkansas

Jesse COLLINGS (c1798-1870s) md. Jane J. (surname unknown), moved to Cape Girardeau County from Greene Co., IN, prior to 1850 census. Children: Emily, Elisha, James, Mary Jane, Minerva, Jesse Leftridge, Lavicy & Thomas J. COLLINGS. The family later resided in neighboring Bollinger County.
James J. COLLINGS (b. c1832 KY) md. Amanda J. (surname unknown) and had at least two children: Emily Jane & Alice. Mary Jane COLLINGS (b. c1834 IN) md. Elijah CRUMP and had several children. Jesse L. COLLINGS (b. c1842 IN) md. Elizabeth Ann DUNCAN, dau. of Nancy DUNCAN. I have not located any marriage dates.
I have traced some of the family back to Indiana and eventually to Texas. But I have LOST the families of James COLLINGS/COLLINS and Mary Jane CRUMP. Is anyone out there researching these lines?

I am looking for information regarding John Scott GARRETT and his wife Mallison (BURSON). They had two sons Marion and Edwin. I found Marion in the 1920 U.S. Census living in Stoddard County, Advance, Mo. Marion and his wife (Sylvia Unknown) had six children. (1) Myrtle who married a Bollinger (2) Tina who married a Hill (3) Bernice who married a Chapman (4) Bertha who married a Kight (5) Gladys who married a CRAFT and (6) Arthur who married a (Cora Lee Unknown). I know that Arthur and Cora Lee had a daughter Patsy Lee who married a NATION and a rather infamous son William Francis. William was well known in radio circles by some very famous people. William owned at least two radio stations in St. Louis with a man named Swartz. Cora Lee was also on the station license. William died in St. Louis after falling off of a bar stool and is said to have been buried in or around Cape Giradeau, Mo. Cora Lee is said to have died at Louisville, Ky. If any of the above family is still alive I would like to talk to them. Any help would be appreciated. PS. This family came from Cumberland County, Vevay Park, Ill. after the 1890's.

Seeking information on JACOB CRITES who emigrated from Lincoln County, NC in early 1800s. Son JOEL CRITES married Susannah Eaker (second wife) in 1828 in Cape County. Joel's son ANDREW JACKSON CRITES (my great great grandfather) married ELIZABETH SHEARING. Family evidently lived in portion of Cape County that was split off when Bollinger County was formed in 1851.

Several of us are researching CRADER in Cape Girardeau County. We know they were there from 1840 and likely from around 1815 to the present.
We have lots of census data, we need to find some marriage dates to match husbands and wives with locations. We also know that some of the records may be as CRIDER, CRITER, CRATOR or other variations. Any help you can give will be appreciated. They were in Bollinger County by 1850, near Marble Hill. We are hoping to determine where the original land grant was physically located.

His wife, Amy, died ca. 1959 in MO. Their children were: Thomas, Tiny, Elvira (Ella), Luther, and Moses Patrick. All the children are believed to have been born in Bollinger County, MO.

I am researching John and Elizabeth HIGGINS came to Madison Co.,IL in 1806 from TN and were inCape Girardeau Co. by 1820, around the Appleton area. He died in 1840 and she in 1838, and they are buried on the "Born Farm." Most of their children were married in Cape Girardeau Co.
Their children and spouses were:
Elizabeth HIGGINS and John PEYTON, mar. 1824, went to Texas in 1848.
Philemon HIGGINS and Nancy RICE, lived in Greene Co.,IL.
Margaret HIGGINS and Samuel PEYTON, mar. ca 1827. Mgt. d. in Cape Co. in 1847 & is buried with her parents. Samuel & children went to Texas in 1848.
Rebecca HIGGINS and William HATCHER, mar. ca 1830, he d. ca 1850; I find her last in the 1860 census.
John Lofton HIGGINS first mar. Elizabeth GRAY in 1830 in Perry Co.,MO. He then mar. Elizabeth Allen in Cape Co. in 1840. They went to Texas in 1848.
Katharine HIGGINS and Harrison Hatcher mar. in 1830. She d. 1847-1850 and he d. ca 1855
David W. HIGGINS and Nancy Jane Violet mar. in Greene Co.,IL in 1837, lived in Cape Co. until 1849, and then moved to Randolph Co.,IL.
Lodoiski HIGGINS and Henry F. Allen mar. in 1839 - last in Cape Co. in 1860 census.
Louisa America HIGGINS and Daniel BENNETT mar. in 1839.
Josiah H. Higgins and Frances Baugh mar. in 1842 (she d. by 1845) when Josiah mar. Sarah E. Mead in 1845 in St. Genevieve Co.,MO. They had 8 children and lived in Perry Co.,MO.
George Hiram HIGGINS b. ca 1823 - don't know any more about him.
Susannah JaneHIGGINS and John PHILLIPS mar. in 1842. She d. by 1850 census. Her son, William H. PHILLIPS, b. ca1844, mar. Rebecca Jane HICKMAN in 1864.
I would appreciate any information on these families and their children.
