DUE TO LIMITED SPACE THE FOLLOWING WERE NOT LISTED FOR EACH INDIVIDUAL: ENLISTMENT DATE, MUSTER DATE, MUSTER LOCATION AND MUSTERED BY WHOM. IN GENERAL THE MAJORITY WERE MUSTERED AT MIRABILE, MO (A FEW FROM JEFF CITY AND SPRINGFIELD, MO) DURING FEBRUARY THROUGH MARCH OF 1862. THE MAJORITY WERE MUSTERED BY COL. E. D. JOHNSON. ENLISTMENTS WERE DURING JANUARY, FEBRUARY AND MARCH OF 1862. FOR COMPANY C, MOST REMARKS ON THE ROLL COULD NOT BE READ DUE TO FAINT SCRIBBLING AND BLURRED COPIES AND THEREFORE THE REMARKS SECTION WERE LEFT OUT OF THIS TRANSCRIPTION.

Notes: Lists for Companies A and B are very faint and difficult to read.  Promotions are not listed. Copies of microfilm can be requested as possible (spelling errors and all). There were cases where handwriting was unclear and is marked with question marks in this text. There still may be some incorrect transcriptions due to unique handwriting. Please obtain copies from the state archives for your own translation.

Due to limited space, the following were not listed for each individual: enlistment date, muster date, muster location and mustered by whom. In general the majority were mustered at Cameron, MO (a few from Sedalia and Springfield, MO) during February and March of 1862. The majority were mustered by Col. Catherwood. Enlistments were during January, February and March of 1862. In the Remarks section the mustered out of service was left out most were mustered out in March of 1865. There were many remarks which could not be read due to faint scribbling and left out of this transcription.

Remarks section are numbered due to limited column space. A remark as 1, Sedalia Aug. 13, 1963 indicates that the person was recorded as deserted August 18, 1863 at Sedalia.

Discharged for disability at Calhoun, Mo. 10. Died of disease. 11. Killed at Battle of Lone Jack 12. Died at Springfield, MO. 13. Discharged for wounds received at Battle of Lone Jack, MO.
