Searching for my Granfathers lost brothers, Rumor has it my grandfather's family possibly homesteaded in Butler Co. He had seven Brothers I have a picture but no names. He was born 12-25-1889 Marion E. Jones, went by Earl. According to his Burial record his mother was Alice Smith and his fathers name was also Marion. His mother or father were possibly part Cherokee? He was always very secretive about his brothers never talking about them by name. Migrated to Oklahoma after marrying my grandmother Susie Alice Russell or ? About 1918. She was also very secretive. Left Oklahoma 1937 Approx. Would appreciate any help. Lived the rest of their lives in Oregon.

Looking for information on Warren and Dickerson families who settled around Butler County, MO. My great-grandparents were Wilburn Warren (1864-1939) who married Julie Elizabeth Talley (1865- 1915), and my gg grandparents; J.D. Warren (1833-1916) who married Rhuhama ? (1830-1897) and Thomas Jefferson Dickerson (1866-1944) who married Belle Sidwell(1867-1920). They came from Tennessee and South Carolina and settled in Missouri. Other members married into the Bilbrey, Bristow, Talley, Allen, Sidwell, Buck, Lewis and many other families in the area. Any information would really be appreciated, because I am at a DEAD END. Have lots of info, but don't know where they fit into my tree. Please help. Thanks...Paddi

I would like to find information on a Robert Franklin BLACK borned 1877 and died 1957 in Butler Co. MO. Robert wife was Edith surname maybe SPARKMAM. I would like to know who Robert parents were. What State they were borned . And relation Robert was to Frank BLACK borned 1859 Illinois. Frank father was John Black. I have heard that some Cobbs lived in Poplar Bluff, in Butler county. They were related to Elisha Cobb. He moved to Oklahoma around 1890 He met his wife in Mo. Her name was Ammetta. I do not know her maiden name, she was born in 1851. Their first child William was born in 1878 in Mo. they had three possibly four children in Mo.
