Butler County from 1849 to 1859 was the area and dates in which my gg grandfather, Theophilus Grant lived. He married Sarah Elizabeth Duncan there on 8 Mar 1849. Their children born in that county were: Minerva b. abt 1851, Mary E. b. abt 1852, John H. b. abt 1854, Elisha Franklin b. abt 1855, Lewis T. b. abt 1857 and Theodish b. abt 1859.
