Adolphus C. King Bollinger Co
Mo Biography
- Adolphus C. King, a prosperous farmer
of Bollinger County, Mo., was
born in 1858, and is the eldest child of John Allen and Doretta
King.
[See sketch of John W. King.] Adolphus C. was born in Bollinger
County,
and when a boy worked on his father's farm and attended the
common
schools. In 1882 he was united in marriage with Anna Jamison, a
native
of Indiana. She died one year after her marriage, leaving one
child,
Minnie E. Some time afterward Mr. King married Miss Kitty
McLane, a
native of Wayne County, Mo., born in 1865. She was educated in
Caledonia College, after which she taught school for one year,
when she
was married. Mr. King is an energetic young agriculturist,
owning a
farm of 290 acres of fine land. Besides superintending his farm
he
holds the position of special timber agent for the Cape Girardeau
Southwestern Railway Company. To Mr. and Mrs. King has been
born one
