BANKS, SEXTON, VASSAR posted by Jan Stryker on Wednesday, March 8, 2000
BANKS/SEXTON PLEASE I need some help straightening out this puzzle. Family tradition has it that Moses E. Banks married Charity Sexton Oct 3 1854. However, the only record I can find is that Moses married Charity Carroll same date. The only other "facts" I have is that Moses E. Banks and wife Charity lived 3 houses from Francis Sexton, widow of John Sexton, who did have a daughter Charity same age as the Charity in the BANKS household. Is there anyway I can clear this discrepancy BEFORE it makes me crazier

TUCKER posted by Miriam Tucker on Sunday, June 18, 2000
Greetings, Tucker Bunch! Given the information provided by Liz and others from Louallen Tucker's will, I have a theory about the connection between Louallen and Robert Tucker. From various census records, it appears that the eldest Robert Tucker, father of James Tucker, and the decendents who moved to Roane Co., TN, Montgomery Co., IL, and to Barry Co., MO, was born bet. 1775-1785. Louallen (the first) appears to have been born bet. 1760-1770. Robert, son of Louallen, appears to have been born abt. 1830, especially given that he is the last son listed in Louallen's will and that the later census shows Robert still living with Henry Hasten/Hastings with two slightly older brothers. So, how about Robert, patriarch of the James Tucker branch, and the first Louallen, patriarch of the second Louallen and of the John W. Tucker branches, being brothers? If you like this theory, note that one of the sons of both Louallen the first and Louallen the 2nd is named Robert. And there are dozens of Roberts scattered throughout these Tucker branches. Could Robert be the name of the father of Robert and Louallen the elder? :)
