Anybody out there ever hear of a Gilbert Slankard? He married my ggrandmother, Mary Elizabeth Crawford, when she was 13. She was born in 1887, so they would have been married around 1900. They had at least one son, Thomas Jefferson Slankard, and one daughter, Dorothy Mary Adeline (my grandmother). Gilbert died somewhere around the MO/AR border when my grandmother was 1 month old. He would have died sometime in June 1911. Have been unable to locate any information on him. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Searching for information on Enoch Williams father of Susan Elizabeth Williams. Enoch married Nancy Neill. They lived in Barry County, MO and are both burried in Mars Hill cemetary. Enoch was born 1835, possibly Simpson County, Ky. Searching for confirmation of date/place of birth and name of parents. Enoch's daughter Susan Elizabeth Williams married Thomas Benton Bassett. Another of his daughters, Frances Emmaline Williams married Joel Oscar Ellis and one of his grandsons, Arlie Williams married Audie (Auda) Ellis. I am looking for information on my great grandfather, Gilbert SLANKARD. He was married to Mary Elizabeth CRAWFORD sometime around 1900. They had two children, Thomas Jefferson b. 1909 and Dorothy Mary Adeline b 1911. Both children were born in Washburn, MO. Gilbert died when my grandmother, Dorothy, was 1 month old. The only other information I have is that he died somewhere around the MO/AR border. He was probably married before. My grandmother mentioned something about a half brother and sister who died before she was born. The 1910 census for Barry County I checked was in such bad shape it was impossible to read. Does anyone out there have any information on Gilbert? Who his parents were or who his siblings were?

Searching for information on the William Henry & Nancy ROBERTSON family first found in the 1860 census of Barry Co. MO, with children: James M. (1845), Thomas J. (c1847), Mary (c1849), Lucy Jane (c1850/51), W.H. & G.W. (males b.c1852), and Eliza (b.c1855). Sons James M. & Thomas J. both returned to Mercer and Harrison Counties in north MO to marry girls they knew from early childhood there. James M. married Mary Jane CRAIG, d/o Andrew & Mary (HESTON) CRAIG. Thomas J. married Mary Rebecca BURK in Harrison Co. MO. Daughter Lucy Jane Robertson returned to Mercer Co. MO before 1870 and married there to John Grandison ODOR. Little is known about the other children, but would be happy to share information about the Robertson ancestors. Nancy Robertson is said to have died during the Civil War and may be buried in Barry Co. MO, William Henry was said to have served in the Civil War (Union/Confederate??) and remarried to a woman named Eliza sometime before April of 1864.

Edward moved to Butterfield with his young sons Alvin and Franklin from Texas County, MO between 1910 and 1915, after separating from his second wife, Mary Elizabeth Hayes. I'm searching for info on my GGF, James A. YOUNG or YOUNGER. Born 1877 in Missouri. Marriage license dated 2-5-1900, Barry Co., states name as James A. YOUNGER, married Martha Ann WEST, but family history and her name lists as YOUNG. I hope to find his parents' names, but any info would be greatly appreciated!
