born in 1850 Juley Ann (Johnson) Weatherby, mother, born 1852 Their 6 youngest children (their older children had already left home when his was taken) Isaac, born 1882 Polly, born 1883 Lucinda, born 1886 John T. born 1889 Violet, born 1891 Allie, born 1893 A little about John Weatherby and JuleyAnn Johnson to follow: John was the son of Isaac and Lucinda (Hembree) Weatherby. They moved to Barry Co. abt. 1850 after the census was done but before June because John was born in Barry Co. June 14, 1850. Isaac died sometime around 1868 probably in Barry Co. but I have found no proof of that. Juley Ann Johnson (John's wife) - AKA: Juleyann - was born in Kentucky to Thomas and Mary Johnson in 1852. Her family moved to Barry Co. probably around 1859 and they are on the 1860 census for Barry Co. Thomas Johnson died about 1862 in Barry Co. He may have been murdered during the Civil War. By this time his first wife had already died and he married Martha Hall just about 1 yr. before his death. They had a daughter Katherine Johnson born in Barry Co. Nov. 1862. Probably after her father's death. John and Juley Ann married in Washburn at the home of Allen Hall on Feb 16, 1871. This information has been obtained thru family records and the family Bible since no record has been found in the Barry Co. records. John and Juley Ann later moved to Johnson Co., Arkansas, sometime around 1873 or 1874. They had 12 children. 2 died young. This picture was in the possession of their daughter Polly when she died. She had told her children that is was her family so we believe it was John and JuleyAnn with their youngest children as their oldest children had left home when this was taken. My Great Grandfather was their oldest son - William. |
