Tennessee2,3, and died 08 Dec 1911 in Kings Prairie Twp., Barry Co. Missouri4,5. He married RUTH ANN DRAKE6,7 31 Dec 1871 in Kings Prairie Twp. Barry Co. Missouri8, daughter of EPHRAIM DRAKE and ELIZABETH HENDERSON. She was born 07 Oct 1854 in Madison Co. Arkansas9, and died 07 Feb 1888 in Kings Prairie Twp., Barry Co. Missouri10. Notes for RUFUS HENDERSON MCCOY: *Cassville Republican* Thursday, December 14, 1911 R. H. McCoy Dead: R. H. McCoy, an old settler of Barry County died at his home, five miles southeast of Monett Friday, December 8. Funeral services were held at Bethel Church Saturday afternoon at 2:30 conducted by Rev. C. M. Smith. The deceased was sixty-eight years of age. His death was caused by a complication of heart and liver trouble. Mr. McCoy was born in East Tennessee in 1843. He was married in 1879 to Ruth Drake, who died in 1881. He was married the second time in 1894 to Beckie Todd. He is survived by his wife and six children: Benton and Madison McCoy of Washington, W. L. McCoy and Mrs. J. D. Dummitt of Monett and Creita and Katie McCoy who live at home. Mr. McCoy was a soldier inthe Civil War an served in the 8th Missouri Company M.
