Research Note John Dake and Martha (Dennis) Long's Family of Barry Co., MO
This picture is my grandmother, Minnie (in the coat). The lady in the middle is her "Aunt Mamie" who was Mamie (Long) Fare, the youngest daughter of John Dake and Martha (Dennis) Long.

I can tell this was taken the day of Mary Alice (Long) Means' 100th Birthday (Jan. 1, 1977) because I remember that day. We all laughed because "Grandma's baby sister was here." They were the only 2 still living at the time of all those children. The other lady is her daughter (either named Pat or Cora - my grandmother wrote that on the back of the picture). At this time, in 1977, Mary Alice (everyone called her "Grandma") was in a nursing home in Sedalia because she had broken her hip, at age 99. They were unable to set it and so she required nursing care.
