| Thurston Hurt was making roofing boards to cover the barn. He is the one on the ground who was handing up the
shingles. The girl standing by the ladder is Truda Farwell [married name was Easley] the other girl is Sally Hurt, daughter of Thurston. The boys are Otto Farwell, sitting down - and standing Ola Farwell, both were the sons of Otis. Taken Sept. 6th, 1910 on the old Otis Farwell home place. Cora Caldona Lewis born May 6, 1884 in Eagle Rock, died July 08, 1966 married George Thurston Hurt. He was born Aug 5, 1881 and died Nov 3, 1915. She was a daughter of Mary Elizabeth (Easley) and William Alford Lewis. And, her mother, Mary was a daughter of Green Berry & Eveline (Johnson) Easley. Cora's Second husband was John Allen Goins. John was born March 19, 1876 in Greene Co., IN and died in July 16, 1961. They married March 1, 1919 in Eagle Rock, MO. Truda Farwell married Mallie Green Easley, son of Greenberry Easley, Jr. and his wife Eliza Lorana Tow. Gary Ball restored the top photo. |
