| Research Note | Rose Marada Tucker was the wife of Rev. George R. Haddock - She was a daughter of Francis Marion & Emma F. (Thornton) Tucker.
Mrs. G. R. Haddock Found Dead Late Thursday: Mrs. G. R. Haddock, wife of Rev Haddock, a prominent Holiness preacher, was found dead in bed at their home near this city, late Thursday afternoon. She had complained of feeling badly in the morning before her husband had started for the fields to work and when he returned at the noon hour, she was still complaining and requested her husband to pray for her, which he did and and she quickly responded to the prayer according to Rev. Haddock. The husband returned to the fields after the noon hour and and when he returned at about three o'clock she was lying in her bed, dead. Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon at the Muncey Cemetery where a large crowd attend her funeral. She leaves her husband and 8 children to mourn her death. She was 48 years old and was a member of the Holiness Church. Cassville Democrat, Weekly Paper, Saturday, April 5, 1924 |
