Research Note Patricia Smading Rue posted this photo on Barry County Places and Things Remembered, Dec. 2015 and said, 1963 Parade in Cassville, Mo. Jerry Crow and me in the front horses.
Mary Sue Price said, Wow! I was probably there. I recognize those buildings. The brick one was a little grocery run by Red Hayes, I think. Or maybe Mr. Edmondson. The corner one was a saddle shop run by Mr. Riddle. Not sure it was in 1963 but it was at some point. I think The Spudnut Shop is on the right, just past the horses. I could use one of those spud nuts right about now.
Elaine Heston said, The good ole days, when they had the best jamboree, Jerry always did a good job and Aunt Ruth Chastain would fire her big loud gun. Fun times.
Gary Ball straightened and did a bit of touchup.
Lynn Hilburn said, Does anyone know who the driver is? It looks like my Granddad Hilburn.
Louise Horner said, on the back bales of hay are Sharon Woolsey, one of the Sullivan girls, I think, and Judy Preddy, I'm pretty sure. I do not know the driver nor the female beside him.
Date Taken Christmas Parade, 1963
