These photos were taken at Chafin Photograpy Studio in Monett, MO. They are probably from my father's side of the family. They were a little better dressers, probably more into business than farming, I suspect.

They could be related to the Akin family, but I really think that they are related to Tina M. Greer, wife of my grandfather, Carl Lee Akin, his first wife. Tina died of Cancer when my father, Robert Lee Akins, was about 9. I have a suspicion that this could be Tina's parents, Oliver P. Greer and his wife Queen V. Oliver P. & Queen V had 4 children, Viola G., Leonard J., Bessie, & Tina. Tina was born in Monett, MO, but the 1900 census shows they must have moved to Lockwood, Dade County, MO. I actually also have a photo of the Lockwood School Class picture, Room 3, 1906.

UPDATED INFORMATION:

This is a picture of James Leonard Greer, b. 4 May 1885 in Dade Co., MO & d. 24 Feb 1970 in Martinez, Contra Costa Co., CA and his wife Laura Serena (King) Greer aka "Dollie" b. 19 May 1891 in Dade Co., MO & d. 5 Jul 1926 in Topeka, Shawnee Co., KS. they were married 7 Oct 1913 in Lockwood, Dade Co., MO. Their children are: James Leon Greer and Georgia Allene Greer.

James Leonard Greer operated a grocery store in Monett, MO in his earlier years. His wife, Dollie, died early in life, about two years after this picture was taken. Later in his life he owned and operated the Lonestar Tourist Court on Rt. 66, just outside Springfield, MO, with his second spouse Wilma, who I have yet to find anything on. James is the brother to my grandmother Tina M. Greer. James parents were Oliver Patterson Greer and Queen Victoria Triplet / Triplett.
Photos are not dated.
