California" on 11/11/1918 from Purcell, Jasper County, Missouri (stopped
there to pick up family members). Standing by the passenger door is Nathaniel Lyon McKinney, Sr. (my maternal great-grandfather - whom I visited with several times as a little girl), standing in front of the car is Dick Flutz, standing on the driver's side is Nathaniel Lyon McKinney, Jr.. The little girl in the background is Marjorie McKinney, age 3 yrs. old, daughter of Nathaniel Lyon McKinney, Jr. & his wife, Vera Miriam Howe. Note - the American flag draped over the hood of the car. |
