Corinth Baptist Church was organized at the Pasley School house in Barry County, Missouri on September 4, 1892. Elders J. C. Sills and J. T. Brattin were chosen as a presbytery to assist in the organization.

Mr. And Mrs. J. W. Allison, Mr. and Mrs. James Morton, Mr. and Mrs. John Huff and sister M. L. Allison left the Washburn Prairie Baptist Church to form the organization of the Corinth Baptist Church.

The following then presented themselves for membership by letter: J. S. Major, Elizabeth Major, Fannie Major, Addie Ray, Mary A. Sills, Eva Sills, John Hungate, A. J. England and wife, N. F. England and J. C. Sills. In November 1892 J. T. Brattin was called as the first Pastor. A. J. England and James Morton were the first Deacons with J. C. Sills, P. H. Hodge, R. G. Mitchell and J. C. Sills assisting in the ordination.

Land was purchased in February of 1894 for the building of the first Church house. The building was to be 26x40x14. This building was dedicated in May of 1896.
