| This is a photo of a Sunday School class. It is labeled as "Katherine Ray S.S. Class." Katherine must be one of the children as the teacher is my great-aunt, Orpha Bayless. Orpha grew up in the First Baptist Church and attended the First Christian Church as an adult, both in Cassville, so the class could be from either one, I guess. The only Katherine Ray I found in research was Kathryn Ray Mitchell, publisher of The Cassville Democrat. I would assume that to be her. Kathryn lived from 1899 to 1995 which might help folks identify other children in the photo. |
