Research Note | ORIGINAL MYSTERY PHOTO INFO
-
This maybe a photo of William Alexander Fly and family. William lived to be 91 years old. He died in 1918. I have a picture which was always kept with this photo and is matted on the same material as this one. It was taken in 1913 of a Fly family member so I would date this about the same time frame.
UPDATE JULY 2005 - According to an email from Jack Fly, "The picture thought to be William Alexander Fly has been partially identified as the family of Rev. Richard T. Marlow, Cumberland Presbyterian Minister. Rev. Marlow was a circuit rider for the church and his duties took him to many places. In 1900 he was living in Monett. Those positively identified are in the front row from l to r: Rev. Richard T. Marlow, daughter, Ella Mae Marlow Mills, and wife Rebecca Frances Suite Marlow. The other children pictured are: John R. Marlow, Florence J. Marlow Newbecker, Ida A. Marlow Coover, Hattie Lou Marlow Williams, Horace Jean Marlow and Cora Marlow Steele. The picture was identified and information furnished by Dorothy Salzer Bredenberg, great granddaughter of Rev. Marlow." |
