| Research Note | This tintype is believed to be Giles Smith, my 3rd great grandfather.
There was no name on it, so for a long time I didn't have any idea who it was. But another descendant took it and compared to another photo of Giles. The one used for comparison was taken at a little later date and when he was a little older. The conclusion was that both photos appeared to be of the same person. We still don't know where Giles is buried. I'd like to hear from anyone who might have that information. |
