| Research Note | Jeremiah Rains Lee 1833 - 1920. He served in the Tennessee Mounted Infantry in the Civil War. Lenore Parthenia Porter Lee, b. 1843 Tony Martin added: "he served in Co B 1st Tenn. Inf. was married 3 times he buried Oak Hill Cemetery Cassville. mentioned in the Cassville Democrat of 9 Jun 1917. He provided a list of 41 federal and 7 confederate soldiers buried in this cemetery and says of him "J. R. Lee kindly furnished this list and he always looks after the placing of flags at the graves ... Some of these days Uncle Jerry will not be here to attend to this very commendable duty and the question arises who will continue this work?" Also see: Obituary for Jeremiah R.
