One can really say that one of the most important parts of the scouting program is the nine committeemen who act as guides and advisors (sic) for the boys. Cassville is fortunate in having such a fine group of men who act in this capacity.

O'wamena

O'wamena, which means flowing water, was chosen last summer as the Boy Scouts summer camp. It has all that is needed to be a good camp, building, scenery, and a good swimming pool. It is also well situated. The Boy Scouts of the Roaring River District, which now contains Monett, Seligman, Pierce City, Exeter, and Purdy, made their first trip to the camp. Everyone had an enjoyable time although it practically rained them out. The Panther Patrol wrote the camp song and won the camp award with it. The group was under the direction of Harry Sebienthaler and Harry Seward. To the right are pictures of the camp which we hope you will long remember.
