Scouting

"Just what is scouting?", some may ask. Webster says that a scout is a person who is sent out to reconnoiter. But you and I know what scouting is in a way, in the way we see it. Scouting is something we love, something that gives us a better chance than ever to learn of our fellow man. It acquaints us with nature in a way no other activity can. It teaches us to be strong and most of all it helps us to be better present and future citizens of this world. In all the prisons in the United States only one person ten thousand has ever been a second class boy scout, while only one of twenty-five thousand has ever been a first class scout. So these figures show you what scouting does for the young men of America. Quoting some further statistics show that in all the relief lines only one out of fifteen have ever been above a second class scout. That also helps to prove that scouting is educational and tends to generally elevate the individual who concerns himself with it. Putting all this together and adding it up you have "Scouting" one of the best and most beneficial activities on earth.
