Final Call

H. S. Rhea, a successful farmer and one of Barry County's substantial citizens, died Sunday at his home west of Purdy following several weeks sickness of lung trouble.

The deceased was 54 years of age a native citizen of Barry County and one of the most highly respected of men. While his death was no great surprise to his many intimate friends it will be with sorrow that they learn of the passing away of a man who had endeared himself to the public by living an honorable and upright life.

The deceased was married to Nannie Woodward December 21, 1884. To this union was born eight children, six of whom are living. They are James S., Eston, Sherman, Morris, Virgil and Miss Eupha.

The funeral services were held at the Clark School house Tuesday at 3 o'clock in charge of Rev. J. T. Brattin and the remains laid to rest in the Clark cemetery.

Early in life Mr. Rhea professed faith in Christ and until death lived an honorable, Christian life. The county, by the loss of Mr. Rhea, is bereft of the labor of one of its most useful citizens and sympathizes with the bereaved family in their sorrow.
