B. F. Pierce Dead: B. F. Pierce who for the past fifteen years has lived east of Mineral Springs on the Cassville and Shell Knob road, died Saturday, January 8, following a brief illness. He was between 75 and 80 years old and until a very short time ago had been in fair health.

Mr. Pierce came to this county from North Missouri some fifteen years ago. He had been an attorney at law and practiced that profession for a number of years before moving to this county. He had severed as prosecuting attorney of the county where he lived before moving from the north part of the state. He had always taken an active part in public affairs. While of a ___ eccentric disposition, he was a good citizen and was very much devoted to this home.

He was buried Sunday, beside his wife who died about two years ago, in the family cemetery on the home place. He leaves five sons and two daughters. Only one of the sons and one daughter live here. The daughter is Mrs. Orville Riddle of near Mineral Springs.

We are informed that Mr. Pierce was Prosecuting attorney of Sullivan County at the time the Taylor brothers were charge with the murder of the Meeks family. He assisted in the prosecution of this famous case at Carrollton where it was taken upon a change of venue. It was only a short time after his strenuous trial until Mr. Pierce's health failed and he came to the Ozark county. He regained his health and remained here were after.

Seligman News: Lional Hulsey and Cleo Northcutt were quietly married by Squire Hulsey, father of the groom, at B. P. Northcutt's home, father of the bride. The young couple intended to give their friends and folks the slip and be quietly married but they were captured by J.C. Fawver, the famous catcher of bank robbers and criminals and quietly marched back home where they were obliged to face a crowd of waiting friends and relatives. The young folks are both of good families and highly respected and can each congratulate themselves on the choice they have made. Many friends wish them a happy journey down the river of life.

Sims-Green

Lee Green and Miss Mae Sims were married Thursday afternoon at the home of Rev. and Mrs. J. T. Brattin in this city. Rev. Brattin said the words which made the young couple man and wife.

The groom is a nephew of John Cantwell and Mrs. James Fogg south of Cassville. He formerly lived in the Pasley locality but for a while has been in Utah, returning abut three weeks ago.

The bride is the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S.T. Sims south of Cassville, one of the county's best families.

They have not yet decided definitely where they will remain here or go to Utah, but wherever they go they have the best wishes from REPUBLICAN for a successful and happy married life.
