Dr. W. P. George Dead: Dr. W. P. George a prominent physician and business man of Berryville, Ark., died at his home in that city Wednesday night Oct 13, at the age of 69 years.

Dr. George was a son of David O. George, a well known pioneer citizen of this county whose home was on Washburn Prairie. He was a brother of Attorney J. W. George and Mrs. Sarah Evans of this city and Mrs. Martha Adcock of Washburn and of Albert and Finis George.

He was born and grew to manhood in this county and married a Cassville girl, Miss Mollie Burton and has always seemed to all of his friend as still a citizen of Barry County.

A number of Cassville relatives and friends attended the funeral which was held at Berryville Friday.
Commits Suicide: J. R. Wagoner, a citizen of Corsicana, committed suicide by hanging himself in a barn at the place where he lived, Sunday, Oct 17.

He tired a rope about his neck, threw the other end over a cross beam in the barn, and holding the lose end to his hands he hung himself. When found he was still suspended with his hands clinching the rope.

Wagoner was a single man about 60 years old. He made his home with a sister which is blind. they had been helped for some time by the county. It is thought he had become despondent. Neighbors state that he was rather eccentric but a good man.
Mrs. Lillie Johnson Dead: Mrs. Lillie Ann Johnson, wife of William Johnson, died at her home near Clio Saturday, Oct 9, of a complication of diseases, age 34 years, 11 months and 29 days.

Mrs. Johnson was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Eden of near Clio among our most highly respected citizens.

While yet in her teens she was married to William Johnson and continued to live in this locality. She leaves a husband and two small sons, father and mother, two sisters and four brothers and a host of friends to mourn her loss. She expressed a willingness to go and be at rest.

Funeral services were held at Clio Church, conducted by Rev. Spain of the Baptist Church. Interment was made in the Clio Cemetery. The bereaved have the sympathy of the people of the entire neighborhood.
Aged Mother Passes Away: Mrs. Louisa Beck, widow of the late Daniel Beck, of the Mt. Sinai neighborhood, died at her home Saturday, Oct 16, of dropsy, at the age of 75 years, 8 months and 16 days.

She was born in Ohio Jan 30, 1840. She lived in that state until after she was married to Daniel Beck about the time of the close of the Civil War. They then moved to Jasper County, Mo., where they lived for a short time, coming to this county in 1868. They located east of of Cassville and continued to live in that locality until their deaths. Daniel beck died in 1909.

The children living are: Mrs. Sarah Munday of Mano, George of Barbara, Ark., H. R. and Miss Elisa of Cassville and Mrs. Missouri Graber of Butterfield.

Mrs. Beck had for many years been a devoted member of the Baptist Church and was an estimable woman and a friend to everybody.

Funeral services were held at the Horner Baptist Church Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Ed Chappell and interment made in the cemetery nearby.
Pioneer Gone: Mrs. Caroline Rausch was born in Darmstradt, Germany, April 28, 1840, and died at her home in Pierce City, Oct 12, 1915, at 7:30 in the morning, after a long illness of several weeks. Her husband, Conrad Rausch, having died November 8, 1881. To this union were born nine children.

Deceased and her husband came here many hears ago when this county was practically a wilderness and settled on an arm near Pierce City.

Deceased was a splendid Christian woman, and humored and respected by all who had the pleasure of her acquaintance and her passing away will be a loss to everyone.

The relatives who attend the last funeral rites were Fred Rauch and wife of Cassville, John Rausch, Greenwood, Ark., Henry Rausch and wife Pierce City, Robert Binner and wife, Pierce City, Mrs. Carrie Gerling, Kansas City, Arthur Rausch, Kansas City, Mrs. G. L. Cannifax, Hunter, Okla., Mrs. Chas. Robinson, Pierce City, Adolph Binner, Kansas City, Emma Gohl of Kansas City.

The funeral services sere held at the house Tuesday afternoon and interment was made in the city cemetery, Pierce City Leader.
