"Bud" McClure Passes Away: Francis Ernest McClure, better known as "Bud" died at the home of his father, Thomas McClure, five miles southwest of Cassville on the Cassville and Washburn road, Sept 18, 1915 , of paralysis.

Mr. McClure was born April 5, 1871, being 44 years, 5 months and 13 days old. He was born on the farm where he had lived all of his life and on which he died. On account of his reserved disposition and fondness for home, he did not have a wide acquaintance but his friends were numbered by his acquaintance and he was a good citizen. He took a great interest in the home farm which is one of the best in this section of the county and always remained at home with his parents.

Funeral services were held Sunday conducted by Rev. E. W. Love of this city and interment made at the Washburn Prairie Cemetery.

He leaves an aged father, two brothers, J. P. of Purdy and Ewing, at home, and one sister, Mrs. Anna Arnold. Also one half brother, Emmett McClure and one half sister, Mrs. T. D. Pitts of Monett.
J. T. Denton Dead: J. T. Denton passed away at his home in the Oak Ridge locality northeast of Cassville, Saturday, Sept 18, age 68 years. The cause of Mr. Denton's death was lung trouble from which he had been a sufferer for many years.

J. T. Denton was born in Miller County, Missouri in 1847. He came to this county about 30 years ago and located near Purdy. Later he moved to the farm on which he died, northeast of this city. He leaves a widow and eight children, four sons and four daughters, all but two being present at the funeral. Mr. Denton was an excellent man and is spoken of in highest esteem by those who knew him and who had lived neighbors to him. He had been for many years a member of the Christian Church and had lived an exemplary Christian life.

The eight living children are: J. L.; W. E. and J. P.; and Mrs. Belva McCann of Joplin; Q. E. of Hutchison, Kan.; Mrs. Olive Perkins of Kansas City; and Mrs. Mabel Thomas of Houston, Tex.

The funeral was held Sunday conducted by Rev. E. A. Frost. Interment was made in the Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Obituary: Mrs. Eliza Gleason died at her home in Mineral Spring, Thursday Sept 9th, 1915, after a week of severe illness of heart trouble.

She was born in Union County, Idaho, July 1, 1837. She was 78 years, 2 months and 8 days old. Her maiden name was Smith. She was married to Saul Gleason at North Lewisburg, Ohio, Mary 22, 1869. To them were born three children, the oldest a daughter, Frankie, died with 6 years old. The other two, Charley and Wallace with her parents moved to Barry County Missouri in 1885, 30 years ago. Since then Mrs. Gleason has had her continuous residence on their farm near Mineral Spring. She has been a well known and respected citizen of this community these many years.

Since the death of her husband and son, Wallace, 13 years ago, Mrs. Gleason has lived a somewhat lonely life but she was of a friendly sociable disposition, always glad to see her neighbors and friends and welcome them to her home.

She had been a member of the Methodist Church 58 years, having united with that church at North Lewisburg, Ohio, in 1857 when 20 years of age. Her regard for the Bible and the Christian faith was deep and reverent and she expressed a comforting hope in God, and a future life. Mrs. Gleason is survived by one brother, Charles Smith, age 82 years of Peoria, Ohio and other relatives and her son, Charley, for some years past one of the leading teachers of this locality but now a resident of Kansas.
