Dead:

Miss Blanche E. Blaylock died in this city, Thursday night following several days sickness of typhoid fever. She was thought to be rapidly recovering from her illness until Thursday when her condition became serious.

She was 14 years, 4 months and 22 days old and was a daughter who moved here some months ago from Dunklin County of this state. During her short life here she won the high esteem of many friends who were grieved to learn of her death. When twelve years old she professed faith in Christ and became a member of the Baptist Church.

Short funeral services were held at the home Friday, afternoon, conducted by Rev. J. T. Brattin. Her remains were shipped to Kennett, Mo., for burial.

Death of James Hunt:

A sweet life went out when the death Angle beckoned the spirit of J. W. Hunt to come higher and dwell with the blessed in that Heavenly mansion prepared for all who do His will.

He had been afflicted with Brights disease for about two years, but not being confined to his bed only at times in the last six months until about five weeks ago. He never became impatient in his long period of illness of complained of his suffering or lost confidence in his Great Maker.

He was 53 years and 10 months old. He was married about 25 years ago to Rhoda Hilton. To this union were born six children of who five are left to mourn his loss. They were all at his bedside during his sickness and patiently sat by his side praying that the Lord might spare him and relieve him of his suffering.

He had been a faithful member of the Methodist Church for 33 years. He scattered many acts of kindness that will be reaped in time to come by younger generations. He will be missed by his wide acquaintance. He was a faithful worker in church and Sunday school.

His remains were conveyed Saturday to the Spring Hill Cemetery near Leann and interred, following funeral services conducted by Revs. McKinze and Allman.
