Mrs. Caroline Jane Porter died Monday night at the home of hers on, George Porter, in the home of her son, George Porter, in the Pasley locality. The deceased has been in poor health for some time. She was 81 years, 10 months and 10 days old. She had been twice married. She leaves four sons and one daughter. They are George and Will Porter and Mrs. J. A. Reed of Pasley and Mr. Tankersly of Seligman and a Mr. Tankersly of Ft Smith, Ark. Funeral services in charge of Rev. J. T. Brattin were conducted Tuesday afternoon at the Corinth church in the presence of a large number of friends and neighbors. Interment was made at the Corinth Cemetery. The deceased was a member of the Baptist Church and was held in high esteem by her acquaintances.

Forest Grove News: Herbert Sands and Miss Florence Bennett were married at the bride's home Wednesday evening of last week by Rev. Ennes. There were only a very few of their many friends present. After the ceremony they were invited to the dining room where they were given a bountiful supper. We extend our best wishes to them in their new life.

The infant babe of Mr. and Mrs. Emmett Freeze died early Tuesday morning. Funeral services were held at the home Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Chappell. Interment was made at the Antioch Cemetery.

Bethel News: Miss Ona Drake, who had tuberculosis for some time, died at her home one and a half miles northeast of Bethel Friday morning at ten o'clock. Burial was made at Bethel Cemetery Saturday evening. Rev Smith of Monett conducted the funeral services.
