Albert Kirk Dead: Albert S. Kirk died Tuesday night at 10 p.m. at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Livingston of this city. For several months Mr. Kirk had been afflicted with tuberculosis and his life was gradually taken away by that dreaded disease which takes many to a premature grave. Soon after the first appearance of his afflictions he sought relief by taking a trip out west but failing to get any permanent benefit, he returned to his home county with but little promise of ever regaining his former health.

The deceased was born near Cassville, July 14, 1872. He lived a greater part of his early life in this vicinity. In April 1893 he was married to Florence Livingston. This union was blest with one child, Miss Hazel. Besides a wife and daughter his is survived by a step mother, Mrs. Mary Thompson of Washburn.

Until the past few months Mr. Kirk had been living in Monett. He was an exemplary citizen and enjoyed the confidence of those with whom he came in contact. In his death the county loses one of its best citizens. Funeral services will be held today, Thursday, at 2 p.m., at the Presbyterian Church, conducted by Rev. E.W. Sad Death: Wilson, a thirteen months old son of Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Cottrell, who resides northwest of town, died Saturday evening about 7 p.m. of stricine [strychnine] poison obtained from taking several tablets of heart medicine. The sad accident occurred shortly after Mrs. Cottrell's trip to town to get some heart tablets for her husband and to do some shopping for the family. The medicine was in a package with other articles and was placed by Mrs. Cottrell after her arrival home upon a shelf. While she and her husband were out attending to the duties about the home older children of the family got the package from the shelf, opened it and in some way the medicine got in the hands of the little child and was soon found by the parents in a state of convulsions. By the time a local physician could be secured the child was in dying condition. We are informed that only four of the twenty tablet could be found and is supposed the missing ones were taken, causing a very sudden action.

The funeral services, conducted by Rev. C. F. Siler, were held at the Antioch Church, Sunday afternoon and interment was made at the cemetery nearby.

Mr. and Mrs. Cottrell are excellent citizens and have the sympathy of all this, their sad hour of bereavement.

Murphy, north of town and seemed to be in the best of health. Her illness was unexpected by relatives and friends and from the beginning she was unconscious of her aliment until death.

Mrs. Anderson was about 70 years of age and was born in Tennessee. About the age of sixteen years she in company with her parents, went to Texas and resided until the year 1893 when she became a citizen of this state. Besides her last husband, Mr. Anderson, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. O. P. Murphy, three other children, having proceeded her to the grave. She had lived in the vicitny of Cassville for a number of years and was an excellent citizen, a loving wife and mother. Her body was laid to rest in the Oak Hill Cemetery Saturday at 11 a.m. after short funeral services conducted at the grave by Rev. J. W. Ennes.
