Mrs. Charlotte Marshall, an old and respected citizen, and a widow of the late Allen Marshall, passed away Monday night at the home of her son Henderson Marshall, near Purdy, after a few days illness of pneumonia. The deceased was born in Virginia and came to this county when young in life, and settled on Stone's Prairie. She was about 85 years of age and was a pioneer citizen in that section of the county. She is survived by three children, Mrs. Morrow of Purdy, Henderson and James Marshall in the vicinity of Purdy.

After many years of intense suffering from dropsy, rheumatism and other diseases Rhoda Babb, daughter of the late Rev. Samuel and Elizabeth Babb passed away Thursday evening of last week at the home of her son, E. B. Babb, in Washburn. The deceased was born in Hancock County, Tenn., about 67 years ago and came with her parents to Missouri in 1879. Her parents settled near Washburn and later lived in Cassville where she grew to womanhood. Early in life she became a member of the Methodist church and had lived a consistent member until death. She is also survived by four sisters and two brothers: Mrs. Sarah Lowder of Cassville, Joe Babb of Grant, Okla., Mrs. Mattie Wallen of Fairland, Okla., Mrs. Tina Bradley of Miami, Okla., M. B. Babb of Cassville. Funeral service were conducted Friday afternoon at the Corinth Church and interment made in the Corinth Cemetery.

Horace Holman of Webb City died Saturday of miner's consumption. He had been afflicted for some months. He was raised on Rock Creek near Mano and leaves many relatives in that community. His remains were brought down Sunday morning from Webb City for burial.
