Sudden Death of W. T. Northcutt: W. T. Northcutt, a highly respected citizen of this county passed away suddenly at the home of his daughter, Mrs. C. G. Henbest at Seligman, Saturday night.

About four years ago Mr. Northcutt had a stroke of apoplexy and has had lighter attacks since. For the past few months he had been enjoying better health that usual and had talked to his friends and Saturday about his unusual good health. He retired Saturday night about 8 o'clock and was found dead Sunday morning by his daughter.

Mr. Northcutt was 65 years of age and was born in the northern part of the state. Besides his daughter he leaves two sons J. W. Northcutt of Exeter and B. P. Northcutt of Seligman. He is also survived by an aged mother, three sisters and a brother.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. C. M. Smith, Monday afternoon, and his body was laid to rest in the Roller Cemetery north Seligman. The deceased was a member of the Baptist Church and in his death the county loses another conscientious Christian man whose life posed a character of good citizenship to his community.

Washburn News: Several from here attended the funeral of Wm. Northcutt at Seligman Monday. He died suddenly at the home of his son-in-law, C. G. Henbest, Saturday night, he was an old and highly respected citizen and will be greatly missed. We extend our sympathy to the bereaved ones.

Cedar Bluff News: Married at the bride's parents L. O. Phittenplace, Mr. George Jackson and Miss Lena Phittenplace. The bride is the daughter of L. O. Phittenplace and highly educated young lady and the groom is the son of T. M. Jackson. He returned last spring from four years service in the U.S. navy and is an industrious young man. There were about one hundred friends and relatives invited after the wedding all retired to the table which was loaded down with fine eatables. The guest were entertained very royalty in the afternoon by good music. All extended to them good wishes.

Accident News: Married at the bride's home Dec. 25, Miss Lillie Shipman and Lewis Hankins. The ceremony was performed by Rev. J. W. Ennes. The bride is teaching at this place. She is the daughter of M. A. Shipman. Those present were Mrs. J. W. Ennes, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Hankins, Will Holman and family, Monroe Edie and family, W. H. Channel and also the groom's brother, Bert Hankins. A happy time was enjoyed by all.

A barn, the property of Claud Fletcher, northeast of town was burned Friday night. One fine cow was burned and two of his horses were badly injured, one of them may die. He also lost grain, hay and meat. Monett Times.

Oak Ridge News: Married at Mineral Springs, Sunday, by Rev. Smallwood, Robert Rauch of shady Grove distract and Miss Luella Laney of Oak Ridge. After the ceremony the happy couple returned to the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Laney, where a nice dinner was spread for a few relatives and friends.
