Henderson Moore of Hatton, Callaway County, MO, writes making inquiry for the family of Kelley Furgerson who many years ago lived eight or ten miles north of Cassville. Mr. Moore is very anxious to learn of the whereabouts of this family and if any reader of the REPUBLICAN has any knowledge of the family they will confer a special favor by writing him or leaving information at the REPUBLICAN OFFICE.

Osa News: Mr. and Mrs. Bural Williams little girl baby was buried at the Forbus Cemetery, Sunday, Feb. 25, 1912. It was a twin and its little brother had passed away about two weeks ago. The father, mother, and children have our heartfelt sympathy. Budded on earth to bloom in Heaven.

Fifty years ago this week the Battle of Pea Ridge was fought. Many old citizens in this county say they recall hearing the sound of the cannon, during this bloody battle. About five hundred men are said to have lost their lives in this battle and from fifteen hundred to two thousand were reported wounded.

Fred Marbut and Miss Mamie Brattin were married Monday evening March 4 in Cassville. Fred has closed his term of school in the Star district near McDowell. These young people come from two of the county's best families. May they have life's richest blessings.

G. F. Jordan, Superintendent of the County farm, states that Mrs. Cranston who has been at the farm for sometime on account of being a feeble-minded person left her room late Saturday night and was found making her way up the C. & W. track towards Exeter. She appeared to be violently insane at the time and it was with difficulty that she was brought back to the farm.

Mrs. George Gilmore south of town received a message Friday stating that her mother, Mrs. John Baker, who lives at Cherryvale, Kan., was dangerously ill with pneumonia. Mrs. Baker is advanced in years and it is feared that she will not recover.

James Talbert was in Monett Friday and Saturday conducting the cases of the state against E. Hockaday, charged with having obtained money under false pretenses, and of the state against Harrison Crawford charged with wife beating.

Born to Mr. and Mrs. Otto Sands, east of Cassville, February 29, a son. This child will have a few birthdays in its life even if it lives to be very old. Very few people have it to say that they were born on February 29.
