Local And Personal


Lazarus Hudson and Chas. Anderson are at Pitcher, Okla.

J. H. Mitchell and son, Earl, and daughter, Miss Ethel, motored to Aurora and Greenfield, Sunday. They were accompanied home by Mrs. J. L. Rawhouser of Greenfield who is visiting the family of J. H. Mitchell and other Cassville friends this week.

John Bridges is to be in Cassville Thursday to buy your horses and mules.

Thos. Ferguson of Purdy will lave next week for Tennessee where he will remain during the strawberry season handling berries of large buyers in northern cities.

John Meador, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Meador, came in Wednesday from the west.

Exeter Public School Closes


Exeter public school closed April 13. The following programs were successfully carried out:

Baccalaureate Sermon, Sunday, April 8, by Dr. McCurdy of Marionville College.

Class Play, "Her Honor The Mayor", Tuesday, April 10th.

Commencement, Friday, April 13, Class address, Prof. T. J. Walker.

Grammar Room program, Saturday, April 14.

Miss Faye Johnson has the distinction of being the youngest of the class and carries the highest grades.

Harry Talbert, Lucile Montgomery, Ferne Haddock, Nora Rogers and Jennie Ford were all so close for second place that no second was awarded. Alma Packwood, Dottie McNabb, Mary Shahr, Mae Pendergraft, Fran Warf, Lee Elsey and Lela Hawkins all graduated with high honors.

All who attended were highly pleased with the various programs and the patrons are proud of their school.
