Seligman Man Killed By Frisco Train No. 4

Henry Skelton a prominent citizen of Seligman 13 miles south of Cassville, met an untimely death at that place last Tuesday morning when the wagon in which he was riding was struck by Frisco passenger train No. 4.

Mr. Skelton operated a dray line in Seligman and on this fatal day he was returning from the school building at that place where he had been to deliver some supplies and as he started to cross the railroad track he drive directly in front of the train which was coming down grade at the time he was struck.

It is not known whether Mr. Skelton was struck and killed by the train or was crushed by the wagon in which he was riding.

Mr. Skelton was born and raised in the vicinity of Seligman, was about 39 years old and was a member of an old time and highly respected family. He was a son of Frank Skelton and was a good citizen. He was also a brother of Ran Skelton of that place a prominent citizen.

Funeral services were held at his family home in Seligman, Wednesday afternoon after which the remains were intered in the cemetery at that place. He leaves a wife, daughter, father and brothers and sisters to mourn his passing.
