Headline Seligman Man Found Nearly Frozen Sun
Text Jim Thompson 53 years old, who resides about two miles east of Seligman, is a patient in the Cassville Community Hospital at present suffering from severe frost bite.

Thompson, who lives alone, was found by Don Edie, a Cassville milk truck driver, about 9 o'clock Sunday morning leaning on a wire fence not far from his home, which is located on a country road in an out of way place. He was frozen stiff in the below zero weather and could only move his eyes.

The frozen man was taken to the hospital and is in a serious condition. It is possible that his hand and feet may have to be amputated to save his life.

Thompson said he was trying to walk to his home when he took hold of the wire fence and could not get loose. He said he didn't know how long he had been standing in the bitter cold but it is estimated that it had been at least 12 hours.
