| Headline | Chas. VanZandt to Retire After Long Service With Exeter Church |
| Text | Rev. Charles VanZandt, of Exeter, will end his pastorate at the Baptist Church of that city the first day of September, after remittent service there for past 25 years. The pastor resigns with the best wishes of congregation. No successor has been chosen. Rev. VanZandt has been in the ministry since his ordination at the Washburn Prairie Baptist Church in May 1908. He has served many churches since that time. In addition to his work as pastor at various churches in the county, he held the position of moderator of the Barry County Baptist Association for a number of years. He also served as recorder for Barry County. Though retired, Rev. VanZandt plans to fill all religious demands made of him that time and health will permit. He is a former Pastor of the Wheaton Baptist Church. |
