Text | Fern Garber surprised her many friends here Sunday by being united in marriage to Carl Ellmore of Tulsa, Okla. The wedding ceremony was performed by Rev. Chas. McNabb at his residence Sunday afternoon, June 23, 1929. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O. W. Garber, highly respected citizens of Wheaton. She has been employed by the Wheaton Hardware Company where her father is part owner for some time. Mr. Ellmore is a former resident of near Newtonia, Mo. He moved from there to Tulsa, Okla., with his parents five years ago. Shortly after moving to Tulsa he started in the bakery business and has continued in this business. Mr. and Mrs. Ellmore left Wheaton Sunday afternoon on the 6:30 train for Tulsa, where they will make their future home. |
