| Text | Miss Bernice Duncan of this place and Loyd Whittington of Tulsa, were united in marriage Tuesday, July 17, by Rev. McNabb at his home. Leroy Duncan and Arva Tichenor were the only witnesses to the ceremony except the McNabb family. Mr. Whittington is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Whittington of Mikes Creek. He is a brother to Mrs. E. E. Buxton and Mrs. J. H. Stroud of Fairview. He has made his home at Tulsa the past few years, where he has been employed. Mrs. Whittington is a highly respected daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Duncan of this place. She graduated from the Wheaton High School with the class of 1926-27. She has also completed a business course from Draughn’s Business College of Springfield. Mr. and Mrs. Whittington expect to make their home in Tulsa. Mrs. Whittington has many friends who wish she and her husband happiness and success in their wedded life. |
