Text | Friday, March the 26th, closed a very successful term of school at East Fork, taught by Miss Vica Cooper of Shell Knob. The forenoon was spent in regular school work. At the noon hour the patrons gathered with well filled baskets and a bountiful dinner was set which was enjoyed by all present and especially Jim Holman and Harvey Aldridge. The afternoon was spent in recitations by the scholars and short talks by the patrons. Prizes were award to those who attended every day and to those who stood head in their classes. The teacher also had a treat for the crowd. Misses Vica has taught us a good school and we can recommend her to the other districts as a good teacher. We wish her success where she may engage in the school work. |
