Text | On Thursday a large number of young folks gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. F. R. Dummit, northeast of Monett, where they very pleasantly surprised Elden Dummit, it being his 18th birthday. His friends were all around him before he was aware of the event. After the excitement was over they all participated in games and both vocal and instrumental music until a late hour, when they all departed, wishing him the best of health and future happiness. Those present were as follows: Misses Ethel Reid, Anna Redington, Eunice Woons, of Oklahoma, Madge Jackson, Vada Henson, Elsie Dummit, Icy Goodnight, Jewel Carter, of Colorado, Nancy Roller, Myrtle Dummit, Helen Perry, Marian Wilks, Jessie Dummit; Messrs. Elden Dummit, Ralph Erickson, Pat Perry, Russel Stevenson, Roscoe Jackson, Earl McCormick, Paul Gottas, Floyd Carter, Pat Goodnight, Elmer Simons, Loren Williams, Edgar Jackson, Claud Redington, Olaff Carter, Charles Harrison, Paul Carter, Lon Perry, Lloyd Dummit and Arthur Dummit. A one course lunch of ice cream and cake was served. ONE PRESENT |
