Headline Surprise Special
Text Friday evening, April 17, 1914, there gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Dummit on Kings Prairie quite a number of relatives and friends to celebrate the former’s 36th birthday anniversary. Refreshments were served by Mrs. Dummit and the occasion was pleasantly spent. The evening was spent in vocal and instrumental music and social enjoyment. An appropriate talk was made by Rev. Malmquist, followed with Bible reading and prayer. Those present from Globe were: Rev. and Mrs. Malmquist, Victor Schelin and family, Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Schelin, Theodore Erickson, Miss Mable Ackerson, Rev. and Mrs. Guy Carr of Monett, Fred Hultgren and family of Verona. Those from the Prairie were: Mr. And Mrs. T. H. Williams, D. W. Exposito and family, W. E. Dummit, Floyd Carter, Eldon Dummit, Jack Williams, Misses Margarete Williams, Elsie and Jessie Dummit, making 43 present. At a late hour all departed wishing Mr. Dummit many more happy birthdays. May God’s richest blessings rest upon him and his family.
