| Text | Percy, son of Geo. Swindle of near Grangeville, discovered a man in their chicken house last week. They got to shooting at each other and it is supposed Percy shot the thief in the back or legs, as there was considerable blood, where he had laid down. The thief cut a nick in Percy's ear. Quite a posse searched the country, but the lover of chicken flesh could not be found. |
