| Text | Among the well known people of this county who drew farms we notice the names of Frank McGrady, Elmer Smith, Claud Huff, W. D. Smith, W. L. Shaffer, W. J. Van Peet and Charles Applegate of Monett, Frank Flanagan of Pioneer. It is also reported that F. D. Smith and Sherman Lane of Purdy were lucky. The Cassville crowd did not have a sufficient number of horse shoes in their pockets and were doubtless unacquainted with Mark Hamln?. |
